Our Accommodation
Our Nova Scotia accommodation facilities are nestled among beach grass on the eastern end of Crescent Beach, Lockeport, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia. The mile long beach was made famous in the 1950's when it was featured on the Canadian $50.00 bill. The white sand beach forms a causeway that joins the island town of Lockeport to the mainland. Lockeport is situated in the heart of the Lighthouse Route on Nova Scotia's South Shore and is only 20 minutes from the historic town of Shelburne.
All the Comforts of Home
Each of our accommodation units is full equipped including a four piece bathroom. The kitchen features a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc. The living room comes equipped with a sofa, cable TV, VCR and DVD, and a propane fireplace. Visitors can also access wireless high speed internet. Our bedrooms offer a double or queen bed in each room with all linens and blankets provided. A sixth cottage, which was built in 2000, offers the same cozy cottage feeling. This two story chalet has queen size beds in both bedrooms and the upper balcony offers a breathtaking view of Crescent Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The first floor also provides a more spacious living area.
Looking for an Off-Season Getaway?
Ocean Mist Cottages are open 12 months of the year. Our cottages are fully winterized and include a cozy propane fireplace. With fall comes cool, crisp air and beautiful colours. This is the perfect time for avid golfers to visit River Hills Golf Course, near Clyde River, Shelburne County (forty minutes away). The picturesque golf course offers discounts on green fees in the fall season and is open until the end of October (and one of the first to open in the spring). If you need a break from the winter blahs, Crescent Beach is said to be the most beautiful at this time of year. Stroll along the beach, then warm up in your cottage in front of the fireplace. Or become a storm-watcher. Words cannot describe Crescent Beach and the Atlantic Ocean in a storm. The wave action will captivate you, making it difficult to tear yourself away.

Rates are based on double occupancy. $10 per extra adult (18 and over) per night; $50 max per week. Prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to 14% tax.
Cancellation Policy
We have a thirty (30) day cancellation policy in peak season and booking specific policy in fringe and off season. All reservations must be secured with a credit card.
Pet Policy
We have two designated pet friendly cottages and visitors may bring their animals along provided that it is approved by Ocean Mist at the time of booking. Animals must be kept off the furniture and beddings, held on leash while on grounds and be picked up after. Visitors are responsible for any damages that may occur.
